Mobile, AL — Insurance services firm CNC is excited to announce and welcome Lorrie Burkes as Business Development Manager. Burkes joins the team with over 30 years of experience in insurance, business development, and marketing.
Burkes will focus on creative ways to drive CNC’s growth initiatives and enhance current client relationships. With an extensive background in insurance, a deep understanding of the industry, and a relationship-focused approach, she becomes a key member of the CNC management team. “I look forward to developing new and existing business relationships that underscore the benefits of working with CNC. Being able to share the long history of our company and the innovational path that we’re on will establish CNC as the go-to solution for a client’s claims needs,” says Burkes. With a diverse career portfolio, Burkes is able to see the uniqueness in every situation, so the client gets their best value.
Burkes started in claims as an adjuster for Allstate, working in three different states and adjusting claims for auto, property, casualty, and liability investigations. In 2006, after a brief sabbatical to stay at home with her kids, Burkes returned to the industry as Reviewer then Subro Manager for IA firm Mariposa. She became Mariposa’s Business Development Manager in 2008. In 2011 she pivoted to help a smaller IA firm with their marketing while looking for an opportunity to learn the engineering side. She eventually landed at Unified Building Sciences & Engineering as their Business Development Manager from 2014 until 2017. In 2017 she took an opportunity to work at Donan in an Inside Sales/Account Management position for four years.
“We’re excited to welcome Lorrie to the team at CNC as we strategically expand our market. She brings a depth of experience and knowledge from both the carrier side as well as the IA side. We’re looking forward to having Lorrie build long-term partnerships for CNC and CNC companies,” says Tom Noonan, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Innovation.
